Gamers Solve Scientific Problems

How did gamers use the computer gameFoldit to solve the protein folding mystery? They unraveled a M-PMV online on a game and they did what no one has been able to do.
Who can particpate in this problem solving and be a player in Foldit
All gamers with no backgrounds can participate in Foldit.
What can critical thinking do for science?
Critical thinking would let humans figure out things that are unsolved, solved in science
If you could solve a mystery through gaming for any kind of disease or illness in the world, what would it be?

I would choose to find a cure for cancer because my grandma died of cancer.

Mini-Game

Was it hard to make your mini game?
Yes is was kind of hard to make the things in Flash work but I eventually got the hang of it.

What was the best part of this topic? The worst part?
The best part of the topic was getting to deal with the codes on Flash and getting them to work .The worst part was having to fix the codes whenever they don't work and sometimes it can frustrate you.

9/11

How old were you on September 11, 2001?
I was about two years old.
When did you first learn about the attacks and who explained the events to you?
I learned about it when I was in the third grade and my third grade teacher told us what happen that day.
What kind of impact did these attacks have on your life or your parents lives?
It impacted my life because people were getting killed on this important building in the U.S. and it is just sad.
1. What was the issue with this game? The people didn't like how some people made a game about 9/11.
2. How do you feel about it?I feel sad for all the people who had to be reminded about this tragic event.
3. What is the problem with portraying on such an awful violent event through a video game?

4. How can you make sure that your web games tell the whole story or teach a lesson in an honorable way?
