Food Inc.

What do you remember most from the film *Food, Inc*.? Please explain some of your thoughts about the movie.

What I thought of the movie Food Inc. was that farmers dont grow there cows and pigs the right way like they feed cows corn so they could grow faster and they could store corn for long amounts of time.They also showed some ways they kill the animals like they pigs get squished,they hang cow and cut there throat,and the chickens they put them in this metal cone and cut there throats.I also learned that farmers used to feed there cows grass then there was this deadly disease and the only way they could prevent that is to feed them grass and there was this kid that died from just eating a hamburger and he died when he was only 2 1/2 years old and the company didnt even say sorry now the little boys mom is helping to make sure that other little kids dont get it by bringing it up to the goverment.You know some of the meat products say there natural there not theres bad stuff like high fructose corn syrup and other stuff like that the place you can get organic stuff is farmers markets.

Back to School Night

Tonight is back to school night. What is one thing you have learned or accomplished this year that you would like to share with your family? Please explain. It does not have to be something from this class.

 

One thing I've learned in Globaloria is how to add links to Blogger and to the school Wiki.I also learned how to customize my Wiki and Blogger so I can make it look really cool.In P.E. we learned how to play this game called handball and its like a combination between soccer and basketball.Its a really fun game my favorite position is the goalie because i kept on blocking the ball.

My boring weekend

What I'm going to do on the weekend is nothing really all I have is a doctors appointment to go to and that's about it.I'm just probably going to play games,and sleep.Oh yeah I forgot I'm going to go see my cousins football game hes on the Del Valle Cardinals and I think hes going against the rebels.That's pretty much how my weekends going to be.

Social Issue (2nd)

What have you learned about social issues so far this week? Please share some of your thoughts.

 

The things I learned with social issues is that some people want to grow up to quickly and they already want to be teen moms and dads.Also some kids and even adults pick the bad thing by doing drugs just so they dont feel left out or they think they need to fill in some hole because they lost a loved one or something.Which also brings me to my next point that people want to join gangs just to act tough or they want represent something.Usually people dont think of something before they do it and thats how it leads to crimes and things like that.

Least Effective Learning Game

The least effective learning game is Climate Challenge.This game explores the goverment in Europe and your the president of Europe and you have to control there goverment,pollution,and trying to make citizens happy so you can stay in office.If anyone would like to play this game it is under the game genre stradegy and and I kind of like it because you have to use the old cabeza in order to play it.It kind of illistrates what you need to do but for someone who hasent played it there are going to have a hard time trying to figure it out.What I think they need to change about the game is to make it less boring because all you deal with is the economy.What I want to do on my game is make it about real life situations,make it a card game,and make it more better than this game.

Most Effective Learning Game

The most effective learning game is Gravitee.It helps you learn because you have to use measurement and distance.If you ever want to play it would be under the genre sports.It is a very good game because its educational,fun,and has good graphics.Its also a good game because it clearly states what the player needs to do which is to make it through the ring,its basically space golf and you have to measure distance with little gravity.I really don't think theres nothing to change about the game it is a very good game.The things I would like to do that's kind of the same of this game is the good graphics,how to make the game fun and educational at the same time,and not make it look like a little kid game.

Social Issue Prompt

A social issue is something that affects many people at one time. What are some social issues that are important to you? Why are they important?

 

One social issue that affects people is global warming.Another scocial issue is the economy because people are having to move out of there homes because they dont have any money.Theres one social issue thats affecting teenagers because they are becoming teen moms and dads.The other scocial issue thats affecting teens is peer presure like drugs or gangs.

My weekend

This weekend I'm probably just going to hang out at home play with my chihuahua,play games or do something.Oh yeah I forgot I have a baseball game this weekend.My little brother has one to and on top of that he has a football game on the same day.So really I'm going to have a busy weekend!

Game Genre

My favorite game genre is action and sports.I like those two genres because there very fun and challenging.My favorite sports game is gravitee.My favorite action game is zeitgeist (not really i couldnt find anyother game).

My favorite game is Call of Duty modern Warfare 2 because you can play against eachother online or multiplayer.When you are playing against eachother there is a thing called create a class and you can design your on class by making your wepons more advanced and having things to make you a better player and soldier.when your playing against eachother just like in the army you get rankings,you start as a private and move your way on up from there and i think the highest you can get is a five star general.Right now I am a second lt. and every time you rank up you get more wepons and more eqipment.

THE BOSTON REDSOX

The Boston RedSox are a baseball team for people that dont know.personaly I think they are a great team.They have good players,managers,and fans.My favorite player is #34 David Ortiz.David Ortiz is the DH for the RedSox he currently has 27 home runs he finally broke his record of 25!!!

An incovinient truth

The movie An Inconvinient Truth talks about about global warming and how it harms the Earth.It also talked about if we dont act now and keep on procrastinating then the whole Eath will become one big swimming pool.I think we should learn from our mistakes and react ASAP!

First Week

My first week at EACPA was long.Even though it was a long tyring week I was glad to see my friends.I thought the teachers were kind of cool & the lunches were ok or at least better than my old schools lunch.My favorite subject is science.I'm looking foward to having a good year at EACPA.
