iPads For Kids

What I think about iPads for kids is good.Even though WE DON'T have any I hope WE DO get some.I mean it's messed up the school in Kuntucky that have some 2nd graders that have iPads.We are 6th graders with some old computers and we are more responsible then the little kids.Now thars just messed up.

Game Demo Progress

Our game demo progress is going good.I still have to finish the rest of the demo.I have learned nothing new in Flash but I got alot of my game done.....kind of.I am kind of proud for what I did, even though my partner was GONE for a day.I have not acomplished anything else new only my game demo was about it so yup that was about it.

• Audience: Who are you designing your game for, and why?
• For Globaloria and to show a game demo with math,science,etc.
• Gameplay: What does the player see and do? What are the rules and how do you win? What is the goal of the game?
• The player has to save all the endangered animals and the rules are that he has to save all the animals in a certain amount of time and he can't get touched by the mad owners
• Learning Goal: What will the player learn by playing this game?
• They will learn not to abuse their own pets for whatever reason 
• Fun Factor: What makes your game fun for the player?
•  You get to soak the angry owners with a water gun
• Smart Factor: What does your game teach? What can someone learn by playing it?
• It teaches the player that people have to treat animals like their own family members 
• Style Factor: What kind of graphic/animation style will you use? What kind of sounds?
• The mad owners will move by themselves and you have to move the main character with the keyboard . 
• Originality Factor: What makes your game special and unique? Why will it sell?
• It will be special because I think were the only group doing our game about animal cruelty.It will sell because it will be awesome and cool.

Playing Games for Ideas

The game I played was called BoomBot 2.I got ideas like drag and drop.The develepors used alot of Drag and Drop to drag the bomb so that the robot can make it home.The tutoral spot for this game is drag and drop and animations.There are platforms and everything so you have to find way to make the boom bot make it home with explosions.

Game Progress

What I learned how to do on Flash is make our main character move with the keyboard.I also made the character turn like if hes facing to the right i can make him turn to the left then move in that same direction.I also made or started our last level of our 5 levels.I am frustrated that I havent figured out how to make the charater come down after he jumps he goes  up and everything but he just wont come down.I think that I have done well getting our charater to move I just need to work on it some more so our game wont suck or be boring.

Obama visits Tech Boston Academy

Dear President Obama,

I would like you to come visit our school.It would be cool if you visited our school since you visited the Tech Boston Academy.We would welcome you and would be honored to have you here at EACPA.I think you should visit or school because we are a college prep school.We are also the only school in the whole state of Texas that has Globaloria.If you saw our school in person you would be amazed on what my fellow classmates and I could do on a computer also on this program called Flash.

Blogging

I would tell them that students need blogger because it helps their writting.It also helps them with grammar and help them not make the same mistakes over and over again.Especially ESL students trying to learn english and blogger helps them with their english.Some disadvantages for blogger though is that some kids don't know how to use a computer and so they have trouble writting with the computer.I would say to let kids have blogger if they wanted it so they can become better writters.
