2 Single Story 2011

1. What does it mean to have a 'single story' about a place or community?

 It means that you get to tell your story from where your from and the things that you experience is the story that you tell.

    2. Describe a single story you have heard told about your community. What is missing from that story? How could people learn more about that community?
A single story that I've told about my community is that its a very intresting community.Everybody has a diffrent way of living.A thing that is missing from community is everybody living peacefully and not fighting.They can study how people live and see how they react to things.

3.Describe a single story you have heard about another community. How did you learn that story? How could you find out more about that community?
People have been saying that the people from the north are white.People just assume that.I could go visit the north and see what its like.

4. How could a game let players experience many stories about a place or community?
A game could show the real facts about a certain topic instead of people just assuming about that topic.

1 Cyberbulliying 2011

This is my first blog post of the 2011-2012 school year.

1.What is the result of the cyberbullying that experiences?
Her brother was grounded for a month.
2.What type of cyberbullying does Taylor experience?
She experiences bullying by her friends.
3.What would you do if you were in Taylors shoes?
I would tell an adult and close my account.
4.When does the cyberbullying begin?
It starts on this website called Clicksters.
5.How does Taylor react to the mean comment people keep pushing about her?
She sent them a mean comment to get back at them.
6.Does she ever try to stop people from posting insults? Wat could she have done diffrently?
No, she couldve just closed the account the first time when her mom told her to.
7.How do you think Taylor felt about her friends betraying her?
She felt mad and sad at the same time.
8.What kind of changes do you Taylor experience throughout the film?
She changes and she stood up for herself and her friends and she didnt want to kill herself anymore.

The Lightning Thief Percy Jackson

The movie The Lightning Thief Percy Jackson was about this kid named Percy Jackson and he is the son of Poseidon the god of water.What percy dosen't know is that he is a half-blood (half human and half god).So they go on a quest to prove to the underworld god that he dosen't half the lightning bolt.So they find the bolt and returned it to Posiden so they won't have war.

Free Choice

I am going to talk about our Sea World trip that I went on yesterday.SeaWorld was fun I went on both roller costers 2 times each.We also played games and won prizes and saw elmo.The cool part about Sea World is that we got to wander off by ourselves or we could go with partners or we could stay with the teachers.Then we all headed back to the entrance of the park and we left back to Austin.

The Apollo 13

The Apollo 13  movie was about these 3 astronauts that are on a mission to go to the moon.The 3 astrnauts were Jim Lovell,Jack Swigert,and Fred Haise.They had a lot of problems in space that they had to compromise with and one of them was not going to the moon.They didn't have enough energy to go to land on the moon and back so they just passed up the moon and go back home.Then when they were back on Earth they were picked up from the ocean from the Navy and they went all back home and they celebrated.

The Lightning Thief

It was about this boy named Percy and he goes to Yale Academy.He is in a school that has trouble makers and mental kids.He has been in and out of 6 diffrent schools in the last 6 years.He has a latin teacher that wants him to be the best of the best in his class and Percy does not know why exactly that his teacher pushes him so hard.Then one day his teacher turned into some devil thingy and Percy killed her with a pen that turned into a sword.

My Choice

What I'm going to talk about today is about the new movie Fast Five.It is an awesome movie.It has many good actors from diffrent action movies.I think it's going to be the most famous movie of the year.I hope my parents get it on dvd when it comes on dvd.
